Our client was struggling to determine when to manage shipping volume from Parcel to Less-than-Truckload (LTL) and vice versa.

The Action Plan
7th Man Analytics illuminated the impact of both Dimensional Weight and Minimum Avg Weight Per Piece on their CWT shipments. 7th Man determined that these two factors increased the client’s billable weight by more than 126%.

The Outcome
Our client was able to use this insight to secure additional concessions from their parcel carrier.   The client also implemented more precise, cost-effective routing for their LTL shipments. Now, our client finally had the transparency necessary to accurately assign a Rate Per Hundredweight – previously this had been grossly understated by the carriers.
